The Kiva School

Welcome to KIVA School

Apart from home, the single most important place in a child’s life is school.

We believe that, next to home, school is the most important place in a child’s life, shaping their future in ways that last a lifetime. With this belief at our core, we set out to create an environment where every child feels seen, heard, and valued—where they can truly thrive. This vision led to the founding of The AMI School, which has evolved over the past four decades. Building on this legacy and a shared passion for innovation, we welcomed Muzaffar Bukhari of VLC as a partner, which led to the launch of Kiva School in 2021. This collaboration marked a new chapter in our journey, one focused on aligning our educational approach with the rapidly changing world around us and ensuring that our children’s education remains relevant to new realities.

Kiva School reflects our commitment to providing a sustainable, meaningful education, especially during the early years. Inspired by the Finnish education system, the name Kiva, meaning “kind” and “nice,” aligns perfectly with our values of kindness, curiosity, and personal growth. Operating as part of the AMI family but with its own distinct identity, Kiva School carries the same logo in a fresh color palette. The tree symbolizes the strong roots that ground us, while the swallow soaring upwards represents the balance between solid foundations and creative exploration—values that guide everything we do.

Our Values

Our Programs

Pre-School

Our school offers a vibrant and immersive learning experience that integrates the magic of stories, the beauty of nature, the freedom of art, and the joy of play. This unique approach is not just a curriculum but a journey that guides each child through their early years with creativity, curiosity, and a profound connection to the world. We believe children learn best when their interests are at the center of their education. Through storytelling, we spark imagination and language skills, while our daily engagement with nature fosters environmental awareness and a sense of wonder. Art provides endless opportunities for self-expression, from painting to music, and sensory activities and pretend play offer rich avenues for emotional and cognitive growth. Our emergent curriculum is dynamic and responsive, adapting to the evolving needs of the children and ensuring that each child’s developmental milestones are met in a nurturing environment. This holistic approach not only aligns with EYFS learning outcomes but also prepares children for life by instilling a love of learning and a deep respect for the world around them.
